General Manager - US Small Business (Insurance)

As General Manager, you'll collaborate with internal and external experts to define coverage, pricing levels, and eligibility requirements for all small business insurance  products. Establish management practices and processes to ensure the success of current and future products. You'll also play a key role in ensuring regulatory approval and work closely with the Technology team to implement  features with the customer and partner experience always at the forefront.

The perfect candidate will be a highly analytical, experienced insurance product  manager, who is passionate to redefine the way that insurance products are built, launched, delivered and managed.

General Manager - US Small Business (Insurance) Responsibilities

  • Responsible for state filings of new policies/insurance products
  • Maintenance and compliance of existing policies/insurance products
  • Creation of insurance forms
  • Building policy rater spreadsheets and educating technology team on it
  • Collaborate with Head of Insurance building scalable underwriting processes

We will also be opening an office in Cleveland, Ohio. You do not need to be in Cincinnati for this role but we would like you to travel occasionally.  

Coterie also has unlimited PTO. We expect you to take at least 60 hours during the year not including holidays - Christmas, New Years Day, Thanksgiving, July 4, Memorial Day, Labor Day

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5-10 years of P&C experience; small commercial lines preferred
  • Fast learner, self-driven. Willing and excited to get your hands dirty
  • Can communicate complex concepts in a simple and understandable way
  • Analytical, with a strong ability to identify trends, communicate results, and take action
  • Comfortable with and adaptable to new technologies
  • Lots of attention and care to detail
  • Highly available, dependable hard worker
  • Track record of success and increasing positions of responsibility
  • Willingness and ability to work with individuals in different time zones
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

  • You have experience building and filing new products
