2022 at Coterie was one for the record books. We wrote more premium, signed up more agents, secured more partnerships, and further refined our product than ever before. While we’d love to take the credit for all this success, we know it’s primarily driven by the efforts that our agents make to meet the various needs of their clients. Not only that, but the insight we consistently receive from our agents is crucial to shaping our product and making it the best experience in the industry. For this reason, Coterie doesn’t view agents as our clients but as our partners. So thank you to all our partners who rocked our world and made 2022 the awesome year that it was!

Sam Reed

Sam Reed – Fortis Insurance Partners

Sam Reed is a Vice President at Fortis Insurance Partners, chiefly focused on Small Commercial and Digital Strategy. 2022 was a formational year for Fortis, dedicated to laying the groundwork to modernize its agency to meet customer demands. Part of that effort was seen in partnerships like Coterie, which helped Fortis “meet the demands of a specific market that wants a simpler and faster insurance experience that they can trust.” By investing in people, technology, and partnerships, Sam and Fortis have set themselves up to achieve their number one goal, which is to have the most satisfied customers in the insurance industry. Sam is particularly looking forward to the endless opportunities that will arise in 2023 and the learning opportunities those will provide, allowing his team to continually grow and better serve their new and existing clients.

Tyson Reil – Epic Trust Financial Group LLC

Epic Trust isn’t your ordinary insurance agency. Whether it’s insurance, financial planning, tax prep, or various other business needs, Epic Trust has you covered. But it’s no simple task offering all these services, so in 2022 Tyson Reil, CMO and President of Insurance, and his team focused on refining their processes to round out their customer experience. While they achieved a lot this past year, there’s more planned for 2023, and Tyson is looking forward to continuing to leverage Coterie’s services to offer quick and transparent quotes that provide opportunities for further client education – one of Epic Trust’s mainstays.

Angelo Ocampo – Quick & EZ Insurance

Angelo Ocampo is the president of Quick & EZ Insurance, an agency focused on changing the way insurance is seen by meeting clients wherever they are and attending to their insurance needs at the highest speeds. Angelo’s team was able to provide coverage for almost all incoming customer requests in 2022! He’s excited to use Coterie as part of his efforts to crush last year’s premium generated in 2023 and continue to make insurance as simple as possible.

Julio Castro – Castro Property & Commercial Insurance

Julio Castro is the Owner and Principal at Castro Property & Commercial Insurance. Julio and his team are uniquely cognizant of the ever-changing landscape of insurance. As a result, they’ve prioritized healthy partnerships with industry-leading tools and software. Julio’s biggest success of 2022 was partnering with Coterie. As he says, “Coterie is the future of quoting and the ease of doing business. If it fits with Coterie, it fits. My staff knows the ease of doing business and we are always giving Coterie 1st shot.” As we begin 2023, Julio is most looking forward to growing his Coterie book and exploring new opportunities with Coterie as they continually broaden their appetite.

Phi Dang – Orchid Agency

Phi Dang is the president of Orchid Agency. In 2022 he and his team doubled their agency’s revenue while lowering expenses from the previous year. As a digital agency, Orchid services customers in various states and with many different needs. Phi especially loves that he’s able to quickly check if a business is in appetite with Coterie before quoting and binding in minutes. In 2023, just Orchid’s 3rd year of operations, Phi looks forward to growing and expanding his agency’s reach, starting with adding more members to his team.
