In addition to the amazing winners of our Agents for Communities contest, we also received several more submissions from agents who are also committed to helping their communities. Check out these inspiring stories from Coterie Insurance agents.
Shannon Chicoine of Chicoine Insurance Agency in Jourdanton, Texas shared the story of Jeff Chicoine. Jeff has been involved in the Pleasonton Lions Club since he was 23, where he has helped with fundraising and donation efforts to help children with physical disabilities. As Shannon shared, “We are committed to this community and its causes. We are from here and give back here!”
Roger Hayek of Hayek Insurance shared the inspiring story of their insured, Christopher DePalma. Christopher is a local restauranteur who also runs a mixed martial arts studio. In addition to his various businesses, he also coaches high school wrestling and football teams. Christopher is committed to coaching and mentoring his community’s children. He’s also not a man who has a lot of time to spend getting insurance for his next business venture.
“I wish it was this simple to get everything else done – I’d open a lot more places if it was all as easy as getting Coterie Insurance,” Christopher said.
Donte Lane of D. Lane Agency shares that their agency’s presence in the community is far bigger than insurance alone. They are a trusted resource to business owners who need a service or for an honest opinion. They go out of their way to recommend their clients to local business owners and can tell you the names of their children, parents and alma mater as they truly listen and care. “Making connections that may not have ever organically happened is what keeps our community growing,” Donte said.
Shanda Dearing Brackins of Brackins Insurance Agency, LLC explained her enduring passion to always be there for clients. “I love seeing the faces of people when I am able to help save them money on their insurance needs and help give back,” she said. Shanda attends local events and goes out of her way to support her community, having recently held a local food drive to give back to the community to help those in need during the holiday season. She understands from her own hardships how important it is to give back to those less fortunate.
Kim Stellhorn of Stellhorn Agency shared their story of a fun agency tradition that focused on supporting their community. They own an antique fire truck that they take to parades, school field days, fairs and more to spread the word about the necessity of insurance and the importance of fire prevention. They donate to local volunteer fire departments where the agency has policyholders to help support them. Following the Santa Fe school shooting, they contributed to a collective donation to replace equipment destroyed in the art department during the incident.
We want to thank and recognize these thoughtful and caring agents who have given their time and effort to make their communities better.
