What Types of Restaurant Insurance Can I Write With Coterie

At Coterie, we understand the unique challenges faced by restaurants, and we are here to help you offer the best possible coverage to your clients. For us, a restaurant is a place that primarily prepares and serves food for consumption, either on the premises or for takeout. Alcohol sales must not be the primary source of income and must make up less than 50% of total receipts. On the other hand, establishments such as bars, taverns, and pubs are classified as drinking establishments, even if they also serve food.

As an insurance professional, you know that restaurant owners face a variety of risks every day. That’s why we offer a comprehensive Businessowners Policy (BOP) that combines property and general liability coverage into a single policy. This can be a more cost-effective option compared to purchasing separate policies. Additionally, we offer add-on coverages such as liquor liability, restaurant enhancement endorsement, and equipment breakdown coverage, among others. Our signature Silver, Gold, and Platinum enhancement endorsements are also available to help protect your client’s business from financial loss.
